The Bullring Gate, RHS Chelsea Flower Show 2026
This project feels incredibly special to us. Brambly Hedge is a much-loved series of children’s stories, following a community of mice living through the seasons in the bucolic English countryside. Its world is built on detail, storytelling, and a deep connection to nature; all elements that underpin our approach to floristry and design.
Our installation for the Bullring Gate is designed to feel as though it has grown into place. Soft, immersive, and layered with movement, with flowers weaving naturally through the structure. Every element is led by the seasons, bringing together English garden flowers and British hedgerows, trees, and seasonal ingredients, each chosen for their character, texture, and sense of place.

A defining part of the project is our collaboration with Stokesay Flowers, who are both a key partner and sponsor. All of the flowers for the gate are being grown and generously provided from their traditional English walled garden; a significant in-kind contribution that shapes the entire floral scheme. Their fragrant, gently-grown, heritage varieties of roses in particular bring softness, scent, and depth to the design.
Alongside this, Badminton Estate will kindly contribute sustainably sourced hedgerow ingredients and gathered greenery, grounding the gate within a wider countryside setting, while Flowervision Bristol will supply additional British foliage and seasonal materials, sourced from growing partners in Cornwall.
For us, this is about celebrating English garden flowers at their most expressive, set against the richness of the British landscape. A one-off moment at Chelsea, shaped by the season and designed to be experienced in full bloom.

Our partners
This project is shaped through collaboration with partners who share our love of the great British countryside, seasonality, and craftmanship.

A much-loved series of children’s stories written by Jill Barklem, rooted in the rhythms and storytelling of the English countryside.

Sponsor and lead collaborator, providing all flowers for the installation from their traditional English walled garden, specialising in seasonal, heritage English garden flowers grown for scent, character, and natural form.
Sustainability
Sustainability underpins the creation of The Bullring Gate.
By working with English garden flowers and British hedgerow ingredients, the design reflects both cultivated and natural landscapes while supporting local growing. Hedgerows are not only visually important, but ecologically vital, supporting over 2,000 UK species and playing a key role in the future of the British countryside.
This connection to nature and seasonality sits closely with the world of Brambly Hedge, where observation, storytelling, and a deep respect for the natural world are at the heart of every story.
